Searching for properties on Makazi Yangu is completely free for all users. If you're looking to list a property, we offer both free and premium listing options. Free listings include basic features, while premium listings offer enhanced visibility and additional marketing tools to help your property stand out.
Our platform is designed to make property search and listing simple:
- Use the search bar to find properties by location, price, or keywords
- Refine your search using our comprehensive filters
- View property details, photos, and contact information
- Contact agents or owners directly through our platform
- Save your favorite properties for later review
For property listers, you can create an account, list your property with details and photos, and manage inquiries all in one place.
For Buyers
To search for a property:
- Use the search bar at the top of any page
- Enter a location (city, neighborhood, or specific address)
- Click the search button or press enter
- Browse the results and use filters to refine your search
You can also use our map view to explore properties in specific areas visually.
Our filters help you narrow down your property search:
- Price Range: Set minimum and maximum price limits
- Beds & Baths: Filter by number of bedrooms and bathrooms
- Home Type: Choose from houses, apartments, townhomes, etc.
- Listing Type: Filter by owner-posted, agent-listed, or new construction
- Amenities: Select must-have features like A/C, pool, garage, etc.
- Commute Time: Find properties within a specific commute time from an address
You can apply multiple filters simultaneously to find exactly what you're looking for.
The BuyAbility calculator is a tool that helps you determine what you can afford when purchasing a property. It takes into account:
- Your income and financial situation
- Current mortgage rates
- Down payment amount
- Other financial obligations
Based on this information, it provides an estimate of your comfortable price range, helping you focus your search on properties within your budget.
To contact an agent or property owner:
- Navigate to the property listing you're interested in
- Click the "Contact Agent" or "Contact Owner" button
- Fill out the contact form with your information and message
- Click "Send Message" to submit your inquiry
For some listings, you may also find direct phone numbers or email addresses that you can use to contact them.
To save properties for later viewing:
- While browsing properties, click the heart icon ♥ on any listing
- Create a free account if you haven't already (required to save properties)
- Access your saved properties by clicking on your profile picture and selecting "Saved Properties"
You can create different collections or folders to organize your saved properties by criteria like "Family Homes" or "Investment Properties."
For Agents & Owners
Listing your property is simple:
- Create a free account or sign in to your existing account
- Click on "List Your Property" in the top navigation
- Fill out the property details form (location, price, features, etc.)
- Upload high-quality photos of your property (minimum 5 recommended)
- Add a detailed description highlighting key features
- Select your listing type (owner posted or agent listed)
- Review and publish your listing
Our moderation team will review your listing to ensure it meets our guidelines before it goes live (usually within 24 hours).
The main differences are:
- Owner Posted: Listed directly by the property owner without professional representation. These listings are typically free or lower cost.
- Agent Listed: Listed by a licensed real estate agent or agency. These professionals can provide more comprehensive services including viewings, negotiations, and paperwork assistance.
Both listing types are clearly marked on our platform so users know who they'll be dealing with.
To edit your listing:
- Log in to your account
- Go to your dashboard and select "My Listings"
- Find the listing you want to edit and click "Edit"
- Make your changes to any field (price, description, photos, etc.)
- Click "Save Changes" to update your listing
Note that significant changes (like changing from sale to rent) may require moderation approval before going live.
Yes! We offer featured listing options to give your property more visibility:
- Standard Featured Listing: Your property appears in featured sections and above regular listings in search results
- Premium Featured Listing: Includes all standard features plus social media promotion, email marketing inclusion, and highlighted placement on our homepage
- Video Tour Package: Add a professional video tour to your listing for increased engagement
You can upgrade to a featured listing at any time from your dashboard. Pricing varies based on the package and duration selected.
Technical & Account Support
To reset your password:
- Go to the login page and click "Forgot Password"
- Enter the email address associated with your account
- Check your email for a password reset link (check spam folder if not in inbox)
- Click the link and follow the instructions to create a new password
- Log in with your new password
